I just always hit the bottom left corner control key, easy to find....that way I don't have to delete something.

I also have been wondering about this.(yes, TP noob).. seems odd that the screen backlight will auto-adjust based on light, but not the keyboard..

I am not sure if this will work on your pda [I have the Alltel HTC 6800], but this worked for me.

Try going to settings/personal/buttons/backlight and un-checking the keyboard backlight auto sensor [strange place to put this setting]. This will cause the keyboard backlight to come on every time you open the keyboard regardless of the abmient light.

I wonder if there is a reg setting to enable this? I didn't find anything, maybe someone with that setting can try to find it?

I like the auto light sensors! Its so annoying having it down all the time.. It drains battery more but so far I am diggin it... I am in my room and its darker so it went down to 2 and put the KB light on

Re: Keyboard Light

Has anyone yet found a workaround for this on the intertubes? The backlight of this keyboard turns off WAY too fast!

Re: Keyboard Light

I think this may get a bump in productivity... In 6.5, there are much clearer registry entries, and there may be some improvements in finding out how to disable the Timeout for this.. Does anyone have the Pro running 6.5, who could try and see what discoveries might be made with the new registry sub-system? (Nothing too spectacular, but there are very noticable changes in the file-system and registry hives. Or even the Pro2; do we have a system dump yet, of the ROM image?

Maybe we can get the OP to edit the first post in this thread to include that link, so people could find it better. I never even knew that that thread was going.. Thanks for the share!
