Re: Ring delay with Incoming Call

I found a pretty simple work around for this issue. It's not a fix but it does the job. If you set the phone to vibrate and ring it will vibrate before you actually hear the the phone ring. It appears to vibrate at the same time the phone lights up then the ring follows. I noticed the delayed ring as well but it was never an issue for me because the vibration would always go off before the ring.

Anyone come up with a fix and kept the HTC dialer?
I tried all formats of audio on the device... No avail
I did call verizon and have them change the length of ring from 15 seconds to 30 seconds.... call *611

Update: Found an old post with some great info and it seems to have worked for me doen to 1.5 rings till the ringtone comes on vs 2-3 check it out: The regedit seems to stick for me through soft reset

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0
Change 'Script' from 'av0pw3r' to 'av0pr' and you'll get 0 sec delay.
OR change it to
av0pw1r = wait for 1 sec
av0pw2r = wait for 2 sec

changed mine to "apr" plus the diamond tweak, plus changed my ringtone to .wav. i call and get the 1st fake ring then my phone starts either at the begining of the second ring or halfway through it, im happy with that.

You mean you changed it to av0pr?

I had the same problem and someone suggested I try different ring tones. I tried a few of them and settled on "Ring - Generic 1" and seem to have better chance to catching the call.

Maybe I'm lucky, or Bell has done something with my phone, but I have virtually no delay. My ringtone comes on before the 2nd ring even starts. It's not a WAV file, and I'm using the TF3D dialer, not the WM dialer.
