Also, the custom ROMs seem to do this as well. Weird. I guess if they are based off of the stock ROM, then they probably share the same core messaging portions, which makes sense. I bet this is somehow a deeply-embedded issue, othewise they would have pushed out an update. |

Don't have any problem on mine (i am on an updated ROM).

someone else started a thread asking about this issue, and this thread got linked as well. I posted my issue in that thread, but figured I'd do the same one in here, just in case this one comes up on searches more frequently. Anyway, I have the issue with the r key initiating a call of the first contact (I think actually it might be whatever contact is being highlighted at the moment), but I also have an issue where my w key will add an asterik at the end "w*", and my x key will add a pound sign at the end "x#".
I don't know if this might be a potential clue, but it is almost like a phone dialer is "hidden" under the keys, tilted 90 degrees, since the w and x are separated by one key (though the s key doesn't add a 0 after it). just a thought. |
