User agent in PIE

I went to the usual places in the registry to make PIE identify me as a normal broswer, but for some reason the websites keep seeing me as mobile. Anyone know any tricks to make it identify as a normal browser?

make sure all 3 below match what you have

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Internet Settings\ 5.0\ User Agent]

1) Change the default value to "Mozilla/4.0".
2) Change the "Version" value to "MSIE 6.0".
3) Change the "Platform" value to "Windows NT 5.0".

These are all set, but still shows me as mobile.

Ok, so it seems some sites will work and others wont depending on the string. Can anyone reccomend some generic strings? MSIE 6.0 mostly does not work. I tried "opera" and it made one site work.

How can I change my default web browser?

This might be a stupid question but I can't seem to figure it out. Somehow my default web browser got changed from Opera to PIE and it's driving me crazy. How do I switch it back?

Have you looked in settings, either in Opera or elsewhere? Or maybe back up everything and do a Hard Reset to fix the problem.

I've looked in settings for both and there's nothing there. I know there's a regedit for it but I haven't found it yet.

Re: How can I change my default web browser?

Ok...I found a way to fix it although it didn't involve a regedit like I thought it would. I basically reinstalled Opera9 and it automatically set it as the default browser (the CAB for Opera is actually listed as WM6_PPC_HTC_Opera9_WWE.CAB). Run the CAB and click yes when it asks if it's okay to remove the previous version. I performed a soft reset as well just to be on the safe side.
