Htc Touch Pro

I just recently recieved my htc touch pro from sprint and I have a few questions. I want to put a cooked rom on the device but I would like to know which rom out there is the best. I would also like to know if there are any down sides and also the upsides after installing the cooked rom you would recommend. I'm sorry for all the noob questions if anybody could help me out or can point me in the right directions for the answers I need I would apperciated it thank you by the way awesome site
