Moving to Droid - for now - I'll be back - This is not a hater post!

I've been in the Windows Mobile world for about 20 years now....basically since the beginning. Like every early adopter, I've dutifully purchased every incremental upgrade phone about every year when they came out. I modded my phones...cooking and ROMs became like a hobby, as most of you know. I troll this site and xda-dev every day for the latest stuff.

But the TP2 pissed me off. What potential. probably the perfect case. amazing keyboard.

But I started looking at other platforms and reading about their architecture. The iphone has games that are 300 mg!

So I got a droid and used it side by side with my TP2 for a week.

In the end - I guess I'm just mad they crippled this beautiful piece of hardware with a $hi++y processor , $hi++y camera, $hi++y memory.

I'm so mad...that I'm going to go try the Android platform...until some manufacturer build the PROPER phone with the PROPER specs.

Maybe I'm biting my nose off to spite my face. But the droid is fun, take pretty good pictures and amazing videos.

I'll see you all again in a year or so. Hopefully HTC will put a keyboard on that snapdragon badboy and give it some REAL RAM for developers to play with.

I know...(who is this guy)....(why do we care)...(good riddance). I've read all these posts to hater threads. I just wanted to share...I think sometimes there's a bit of kool-aid drunkeness on these boards. Sometimes, we (and I mean we - I'm still a WM guy) need to understand that there are options out there and going to try those options for a while is OK.

Cheers!
