Re: Using the Phone As Modem with the USB cable
Mad respek and thanks to the PPC peeps.
I don't post much (as I dont know **** about most of this) but anytime I have a problem, I can get the answers here. Also, found a free easy reg editor. http://www.phm.lu/downloads/download...-2A4418802FD3} Select "Pocket PC 2002,2003 (ARM/PXA)" as it's a cab file that you can install on your devices versus an active sync install. Figured I'd post this - had some difficulty finding a reg editor in the forums (prolly their, but google worked just as easy.) Thanks again! |
Re: Using the Phone As Modem with the USB cable
This was a LOT easier than having to go through all the steps on the Mogul to use the Wireless Modem utility. Awesome program, but tedious as hell! :)

Re: Using the Phone As Modem with the USB cable
I'll have to try this when I get home, thank you.

Re: Using the Phone As Modem with the USB cable
So what's this do? You just plug it into the usb port on your laptop and suddenly you can connect to the internet? What sort of transfer rates does the edvo network give with full bars?

Re: Using the Phone As Modem with the USB cable
Any side-effects of doing this? I use WiFi Router but this is so simply I might just set it up as an alternate method.
@ Chronster: It depends on your location, cell tower and all of the other normal internet variables. With WiFi Router in Vegas, using http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ to the LA server, I get 1112 kb DL and 308 kb UL. Richard |

Re: Using the Phone As Modem with the USB cable
If you enter "wifi" instead of sprint, will it use the wifi connection?

As to the original question, I have not seen anything before on how to share your wifi connection via Bluetooth or USB. So unless there is a regedit that I'm not aware of I believe your answer is no. |
