The thing on the left side of the speaker is the light sensor.. it will dim the backlight based on the ambient lighting in the room |

Re: Ear speaker on the phone
Yeah, I know - I'm not talking about that part. I'm talking about the actual speaker area. Half of mine is solid with no holes.

Re: Ear speaker on the phone
I'm talking about the speaker that you listen in from for a call. But I think this "problem" is just with my phone since I asked a friend and he said his has holes all across.

Re: Ear speaker on the phone
Mine only has holes half way. Wonder if we took it out it would help with the low volume problem and the muffeled problem some are having.

Re: Ear speaker on the phone
You know I noticed and thought the same thing. Because god I hope it's not that and just a simple firmware fix. Because aside from the crappy sound on calls and the keyboard not staying lit, this phone is pretty dam sweet!!

^ I'm sure someone will figure out the Regedit to up the illumination time of the key board. Just a matter of time. I'm not brave enough.

Re: Ear speaker on the phone
Well, only way to know for sure is if other people who have holes all across don't seem to have sound problems. The volume for me is fine and I only have a problem with the sound being muffled. When I raise the volume though, the sound gets more distorted because of the muffling.
