how to get Opera and IE to think i'm on a desktop pc

In the address bar, type in

about:config
scroll down on the page to item User Agent and click on it.
It says Spoof user agent ID

1 is Opera Mobile 9.5
2 is Firefox
3 is desktop IE 6

and also need to change the custom user agent from
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.11) Sprint MP6950SP

to Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT)

And that worked for me

Thanks, your way the proper way to fix it, i just copy the opra9.ini and replaced it.

maybe you know easy way to import IE links to opera ?

Thanks, worked great for me, though I had to read the entire thread to figure out that the second item is under the User Prefs category. Funny that they tout how with Opera Mobile 9.5 you have the full web in your hands, then configure it to receive mobile versions of some sites.

I went ahead and did this but now i have a HUGE problem. I cant get into opera:config anymore! Whenever i try a screen pops up that says "ERROR! Internal Communication error". Any help with this?
