Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
Same problem here. Hard nor soft keyboard work. Pretty upset since the VGA would be so awesome with LMI.
|
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
any progress on this issue?
|
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
you can only use the on screen keyboard.. not the full QWERTY or anything else only "keyboard"
|
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
I noticed this on my TP as well. and it is strange seeing as on my Mogul the physical keyboard worked just fine as well. then on my mogul i could no longer type spaces inbetween words on IM clients and other areas of my PC from the phone. on TP however i seem to have lost all typing ability. havent tried to onscreen Keyboard but the physical one is a no go.

What works for me on the Diamond
When I tried to use logmein on my Diamond, I had the same trouble as you did. I couldn't get the keyboard (on screen keyboard, of course) to stay up to type anything. I was using Opera.
BUT when I switched to IE on the Diamond, the website directed me to install a cab, and then everything worked very well in IE. |
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
I used to logmein with IE and it seemed fine for me. I could scroll around, but not sure about the keyboard. I could not get it to work in opera tho.
|
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
I can't get logmein to work at all. :/
|
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
I seriously doubt that you two have the only two phones that function correctly. Be advised that Opera asks you to download the software. After installing it, it still asks you to download. Logmein does not work with Opera.
IE allows you to install the software and everything functions EXCEPT text input, both hardware and on-screen in the Touch Pro. The thread opener didn't say anything about scrolling or any other function. The hardware keyboard is mainly what we all care about and is the reason behind this thread. |
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
I sent a ticket and was told they have not received any other ticket complaints on this. Everyone please send a ticket so we can get this resolved! :D

Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
How would you compare logmein to remote desktop? Thanks.
|
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
lets all send logmein tickets.
Compared to remote desktop, awesome. Centralized location, and features are good. Drawback is installing the client on the destop remotely.. It's tuff soemetimes go step by step with ohter people who do not get it.. like dad and mom. |
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
Ive submitted my ticket....non-working keyboards is the only issue im having
|
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
i cant get rdp to work, but i used logmein on my mogul and its fine. but yea, text input does on work on the tp.
|
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
So does the soft keyboard work at all?? Or are both physical and soft unusable?
|
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
Both are unusable.
|
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
I cant even get the screen to scroll around the desktop as well anyone else with this issue? And im assuming everyone is using PIE?
|
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
It scrolls fine for me. You have to use PIE, it doesn't work with Opera. You know to get it to scroll you just tap and hold the edge of the screen, right? It doesn't scroll like windows on the Pro do by dragging your finger around. I think it looks really good when you set it to 640x480 so no scrolling is needed.

Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
these problems aren't related to windows mobile 6.1 are they? I used it with wm6 but never tried after i upgraded to 6.1... just curious
|
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
No, I'm pretty sure it worked on my Diamond. I didn't use it too often, so I can't say for sure, but I think it did.

Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
i have a touch pro and the keyboard (software and hardware) does not work for me either on logmein... I have submitted a ticket to them, everyone who hasnt yet please do so they can come out with a fix!!!

Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
I don't understand what the problem is...works perfectly for me via PIE.
|
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
I couldn't get it to scroll around for a while, but I guess the "edge" is actually a couple mm in (try putting stylus at edge and bringing it towards the center). Unfortunately, this means that you'll often accidentally click on something instead of scrolling.
I was typing 2 days ago, but yesterday neither SIP or hardware kb were working for me. Pretty strange. I am using PIE btw. I just submitted a ticket. |

Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
We can only hope they'll fix it soon...
Oh yeah wasn't there something to install on our phones for logmein mobile? I haven't used it in so long I cant remember how i got it working on my old phone. Went to their website and the only thing they have to download is for software on the computer... do we just sign in on our mobile and have it bring up an installation dialog? |

Also, the TP hard keyboard doesn't communicate to the system by the same means as older sliders. This is why you have the delay when you first type on the Touch Pro. My theory is that they changed it from a PS/2 protocol to a USB bridge so they could enable power management to shut off the keyboard, as PS/2 can lock up if the device is constantly put off & on while the device is running - never designed for pnp or pm. On the older models (6600, 6700, 6800) the keyboard was always powered (separate of the backlight) and HTC probably wanted to eliminate that power draw when not in use. |

Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
Dead for me, too, on my TP. Both keyboards do nothing and I can't scroll. In Opera...I got it to work once but every time I go to use it it makes me re-install the software. Lame. I loved this feature on my Mogul...I'll send a support ticket when I get home.

Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
According to this thread, installing and running KForTouchPro fixes the problem with LogmeIn and the keyboard.

Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
I tried it on my Sprint Touch Pro and it works. You have to switch it to the MS IME before running Internet Explorer.
|
Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
i reset my phone, i run KforTouchPRO and switch to M$IME before doing anything, then i open IE, i goto logmein, log in, remote control my pc, both hardware and software kb still not working....
please help, what's missing? |

Re: Keyboard not working in LogmeIn
Did you use Opera mobile or internet explorer - I was able to get that in PIE but every time I log into logmein in opera it asks me to install cab file ?!
