My understanding is that the whole bottom area is capacitive, but it's used for the scrolling circle thing, not so much the buttons. You do have to physically press them to use the home/back/call/hang up/left/right/up/down functionality.

Do you think that it's possible to write an app that will allow you to do a capacitive touch of the button and register as a full press? That'd be what I'm looking for! |

Yeah, my gf has a chocolate, and those buttons drive me F*#*ing insane... I cannot use it.. she hates it too... she's had it since the day they were released, and has never gotten used to those buttons..

Hmm... I'm sure no2chem would be able to whip something together EXTREMELY quickly. It shouldn't' be too hard. Just designate each corner to the corresponding command. I hope it can be done!
