Re: Remapping Hardware Buttons - Options Here

What is funny is that I never saw this post, but I pm'ed stroths to see if he was able to take over the home key. Stroths has been swearing by this program for years now. I heeded his advice long ago, and now my pocket pc's are much more functional. AE button plus FTW.

I just copied his volume up keys. I can't believe he thought about having the volume keys active during a call. F*kn brilliant.

Re: Remapping Hardware Buttons - Options Here

How can I map the phone red button so that 2 presses bring me to "Text message" and 3 clicks bring me to "email"? I can only map it to "Messaging" where I have to then click on text message. I want to go directly to text messages. How can I do this?

I think you can only get to messaging. but you can open your keyboard and use the hardkeys if you want.

I would suggest you create shortcuts to each and then map the double and triple click to each shortcut.

SMS Shortcut
\Windows\tmail.exe -service "SMS"

Activesync (I use Exchange)
\Windows\tmail.exe -service "ActiveSync"

If you don't use an exchange server then you might need a different shortcut for email. You should be able to find it with google using the info I listed above.

Cool! I took your idea and went an easier route.

When I am in the screen to edit the button in the "Run Application", in the box with Optional Parameter, I put

SMS Optional Parameter
-service "SMS"

Gmail Optional Parameter
-service "Gmail"

My current Setup

Items below all programmed with AEB

Enter/Action (Center D-Pad Button circle)
Single Click - Press Enter (Call Default Handler)
Double Click - Press Esc
Triple Click - Task manager
Long Press - Show Actions Menu

Green Phone Button - Send Key (bottom-left phone button)
Single Click - Press Green Button
Double Click - Messaging -service "SMS"
Triple Click - Messaging -Service "Gmail"
Long Press - Send Key (Hold) -Configured as Voice Dial from the control panel, where this key is already mapped

Red Phone Button -End Call Key (bottom-right phone button)
Single Click - Press Red Button
Double Click - Alt-Tab
Long Press - Mapped from Control Panel as "Vibrate", which came stock configurable in the control panel.

Volume Up Key (Side of phone)
Single Click - Ok/Close
Double Click - Start Menu
Long Press - Volume Up - To get volume up, I just simply press down then up, or hold it up.

I have not configured down as yet, because I do not know what other programs I want mapped.

Re: Remapping Hardware Buttons - Options Here

Thanks for the info.. i was able to remap my enter key, but for some reason it's not letting me remap the send/end keys... i tried mapping it to task facade (long hold), but it ignores that and does what I had it set in "system>long press end key." Is anyone else having this problem? I also can't remap the send keys.
I should be changing the "green/red phone buttons" in aebutton settings right? and they do work in touchflo3d right? Hopefully someone can help... thanks

Remap Home Soft Keys?

I've done this before and reflashed to Jugg's ROM. Now I can't find the thread that shows you how to do this. I've been searching for the last 15 minutes and can't find it. Tried: soft keys, home soft, remap soft keys, etc..

Can someone tell me what terms to search or provide a link please?
