Re: TP Software Issues/Unresolved Issues/Feature Requests

Request : Using TF3D when viewing text messages or email, going from the closed to keyboard out state, trigger the same event that pressing 'reply' would. This would immediately bring up the text/email in a state ready for input. Rather than going, slide open, click messages, click text messages, click on message to reply.

Re: TP Software Issues/Unresolved Issues/Feature Requests

Volume... Volume... Volume...

The Sprint Touch I came from is looking better everyday... About the only thing holding me back from returning my TP is the VGA screen and WiFi...

But I need more volume. I am going to return mine again later next week, I already have noticed louder phones in the store... And unless I am doing something wrong, the audio hacks are not working for me...

Re: TP Software Issues/Unresolved Issues/Feature Requests

I've been unable to connect to Sprint Nav all day. Keeps telling me that it's unable to connect to the server and to make sure that my phone is on and to try again later.

Anybody else? Any clues?

Make sure that location services are set to on under phone options.

A few observations:

1. No Ok button on physical keyboard. You could imagine they could put the SMS and Email key on one button and make a separate OK button, but no.
2. HTC quick menu not accessible except from Today screen
3. Some report that TP stops charging if too many things going on (wifi, bluetooth, voice calls, etc). I have not noticed this and I tried a good 45 minutes of extremely heavy usage and phone got a little warm but continued to charge.
4. TF3D not yet customizable.
5. Camera takes decent pics but very laggy.
6. Capicitative use of buttons is not yet fully integrated in TF3D. Hopefully this will change with new releases.
7. Not all button are customizable under settings -> buttons. This is perhaps because that functionality is yet to come with future software updates.
8. GPS appears to be independent of radio. Still testing because perhaps it's using QuickGPS data.
9. Youtube app has extremely good quality but no ability to link to account :/. Also unable to open youtube links in opera with youtube app.
10. Incoming call announcement for voice command is broken.
11. Surprisingly the soft qwerty keyboard is a joy to use and has a very easy learning curve (for me at least). Key is to use fingernail tapping. This is really helpful for typing out short sms and filling web address in Opera.

Sprint Nav now working. Actually, all of my data services had stopped working. Called Sprint, had them update my profile, and all is happy now.

Now, an observation.

For those of you having Weather issues, have you applied the ICS hack? My weather was working fine, and I applied the patch, then weather stopped working. Unapplied, and weather started working again.

Could be coincidental. Probably is. It doesn't appear that the registry settings would be related, but I thought I would pass on my experience anyway.

Actually, initially, my weather was only working with wi-fi, since my profile wasn't properly updated for internet connectivity.

Once they updated my profile, weather wasn't working on EV-DO, but all of a sudden, it started working. What's odd is that sometimes it connects extremely fast on updates, other times...when it's searching for EV-DO connection, it stays in limbo and then pops up the "cannot connect to server" pop-up. I'll wait for a few seconds and then try updating again...all of a sudden it'll work without any issue.

My main conclusion is that it works perfect only when EV-DO is automatically available or if connected to WI-FI.

Any way to get the old school white boxed suggestions? I rather have that version since it doesn't lagg or slow down trying to catch up how fast I type.
