Minor, but annoying
Go the the power sprint and update the picture mail app. This will fix that problem.

Re: TP Software Issues/Unresolved Issues/Feature Requests

I had an HTC Pro from 3 different stores. They consisted of 2 Sprint Stores and 1 Best Buy Store. The problem you guys are experiencing were not present with any of those handsets. However, I had a unique issue with all 3 phones and it was with the camera. I would scroll to the camera and the application would begin. I would call up the camera and take a picture. Cool. However, around the 3rd or 4th time of scrolling to another application and coming back to the camera, I would get just a blank screen for the camera. I would wait to see what happened and about 15 seconds later the camera would attempt to run and nothing but a blank screen. I am coming from a Mogul and I loved it. I actually love this phone as well aside from the poor battery it has but the camera issue has turned me off of this phone until at least a fix takes place. I called up HTC and was put on hold for what seemed like forever and no one else has seemed to have this issue. Any suggestions or thoughts on what this could be?

Re: TP Software Issues/Unresolved Issues/Feature Requests

I haven't noticed anything at all, but there is one issue which bugs me.

There's definite input lag inside threaded SMS when using the hardware keyboard; this is where I spend about 90% of my time. I've tried all the usual things (disabling prediction, auto complete, e.t.c.) but none of that helps. I noticed that the soft keyboard actually has immediate response to touches. I tried switching that to the generic windows keyboard in the input settings, but it switches back. Is anybody else experiencing this lag?

I've narrowed down the audiomanager crash. It has to be related to the music on my microsd card, because I only get the crash with that card in.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the Sprint Music Store button the top of the Music Player? I'd rather see larger album art than an advertistment for a service I'll never use.

Re: TP Software Issues/Unresolved Issues/Feature Requests

Lack of hard buttons leaves most of my games unplayable (such as worms world party). Is there any way around this such as a utility for making the keyboard addressable for these older applications? Thank you for any help!

Having problems with Pic Mail not sending the pictures. Someone mentioned a fix/update earlier, but did not really say where to find the update.

Re: TP Software Issues/Unresolved Issues/Feature Requests

Has anyone else noticed their backlight being inconsistent - I'll be using the phone, and the backlight keeps changing intensity - one moment it gets brighter, the next it dims.

The biggest complaint I have, is more of a design flaw in that when you set the phone down on a desk, there's no little dimples/feet on the battery cover, and so that camera lens gets scratched very easily. This is going to end up costing Sprint plenty in returns/exchanges...

Isn't it because of an ambient light sensor, it automatically adjusts the backlight? Hopefully there is a manual override.

*Edit. Found it in the obvious place. It's under Settings -> Backlight. Uncheck "Auto Adjust Backlight".

Just go into the settings menu and access the screen settings. There you can turn off the auto brightness adjustments, I'm going to leave it on and see if it saves me battery life.
