A few hours later... Root the cab worked great! Well I didn't actually install the cab I cooked it into my ROM, but it worked and looks fabulous! I'd assume it would work just fine as a normal cab install as well. Thanks so much!

Thanks for posting that. It works, but the icon overlaps and drags as well...is that default behaviour for max's mod too?

I think so.
I can change it to a standard slider tab.

Will try to do that tomorrow as I am trying to cook my own rom and I am a nOOb again with this. LOL
Trying to stay focused and so far it isn't liking me. hehe

The bottom bar is thick because the version on WM he is running on that rom.
You can use Diamond Tweak to change the soft keys or search for the reg edits to change them to whatever you want.

Here's the cab for that font. It has a couple of resizing issues as you can see from the pics. They don't bother me a whole lot so I roll w/it. There are also some sizing issues with alarm clock settings. It can be uninstalled very easily if you can't deal with the issues. I've attached a weather tab fix, but it only works on manila 2.1. I've also attached a revert back to normal weather tab cab. All of these came from this thread. Shout out to mMaureenn and rootlinux for their help in this area. Here's the font thread I got it from. I'm sure you'll find more there that you may like.

Yeah - and add to the fact that they buried this tread doesn't help either. Most of the other HTC devices (Diamond, TP2, Hero) have this tread stickied...oh well...:disgust:

It's a cab that Zombiexx made. I can post it when I get home later today. It's called 6.5.1 HTC Start Button.cab if you want to search. I know he posted it in RaidZero's kitchen thread. A link to that thread is in my sig. bar.

hey i installed the cab but it only shows a kinda silvery windows logo and it only shows up for a min and goes back to the default one...

the silvery windows logo is the one with the cab,i dont know why it would disappear though,i read on the guy who made the cabs thread that you should install sdkcerts.cab first so i did and havent had trouble, i just put my other start logo up cause i flashed back to nrgz rom

in my pics it shows the data connection but in sharkie's pic i see his signal bars,when mine is on even though i have a full signal i dont have any bars,do they show up for you?

Signal Bars Regedit? I dunno, it's weird. You had bars with other taskbars right? At that point, in that place was there enough signal to have any bars?

Oh and about the start button, there's something like it only displays the htc one when you're in manila, out of manila it reverts back to the wm style one. Zombiexx said he couldn't figure out how to make it stay w/out manila.

yeah i have always had signal bars before and even after i removed it they were there lol,dosen't matter really where im at i have great coverage,i have only seen a roaming icon just once and that was cuz i totally screwed up my reg. edit lmao spent hours on the phone with verizon getting it fixed, hell im with vzw and everything works half ass since we only got half a real tp lol
