Time to Order
 

THIS IS NOT A DATE SPECULATION THREAD. DO NOT DISCUSS DATES IN HERE.

Everyone (I assume) agrees that telesales will be accepting sales the morning of whatever day the phone is released. However, what is morning defined as? What time/timezone will they begin accepting orders? Does anybody know what they have done with the Diamond and other launches?

I called Telesales and they said that the phone would be coming out on the 19th. I asked could I call at Midnight on Saturday and she said that they dont start accepting orders until they open on Sunday 9 a.m. Central Standard Time.

Here's another question relating to the actual day when everyone can place an order for the Pro...

For those of us who tried the Diamond, and sent/took it back, are you nervous about Sprint not allowing you to buy the Pro? Since the standard time for a credit to appear back on your bill is 1-3 billing cycles (as was told by numerous CS and retention people), and our upgrade date being tied to that same standard; will we have problems trying to do this on the release date?

I can see Sprint really screwing this up for those of us who tried the Diamond, or at least making it really difficult to get the phone ordered.

I am one of the same . They can bill it to the account and remove the credit asap. If you get the right CS rep she will credit the account if it shows it has been returned. I am pretty sure of that . I had some other immediate credits done on other items , so it CAN be done there

Well, i logged on today to talk about release dates, but eh, this information still pertains

I got a call from sprint today (some c/s schmuck trying to talk me into a new contract), i told him im waiting for the touch pro, he looked it up and said that its coming out in two days, soooo, i asked if its possible for me to preorder and he say, definitively, NO!

I then asked when i can place an order for the phone and he said the earliest was monday, and also through telesales... their c/s sales lines are closed on sundays (?).

Basically, the earliest is looking like monday the 20th. This is really odd because if it does come out on the 19th, im pretty sure it wont be available anywhere.

I agree Godmonster. I say we wait until the 19th then if it doesn't come out , we then proceed

i wonder when it comes out on the internet... that's how i ordered my mogul. if i can do that before 9 am sunday, then i'll get in line.

Also my ? is if i have a phone that i am returning to get the pro... will they send me the pro witha "return kit" to send the other phone back and call it even?
