It looks like it is going to work great!! The most impressive aspect in my opinion is the Opera browser, and how it goes full screen.

I like that you can plug the phone charger into the side of the TV out cable so you can keep your phone plugged in while you have it connected to your TV.

wow... hard to tell fine detail quality from these pics, text looks a little muddled, which is to be expected, but overall looks much better than I would have expected.

All I need is for someone to do a video review of how it works with the Nav and if it works flawlessly, I'll be hooked to getting this phone no questioin (no matter what issues are found).

Anything that'll help me use my NAV without the tiny screen will be awesome!

With this TV-Out working it would make sence to look at Real VGA output even the PDA screen would be very smal the TV is big enough and the software allows to switch back and forth (with reset!)

And keep in mind the wireless audio/video signal transmitters whith which you don't need to sit 5inch infront of your TV.

Thats insane!! I can't wait!!! I was going to upgrade to the 800w, but then I found out how soon the touch pro is coming out and i'm gonna sit tight to get this bad boy!! I work for radioshack, haven't heard if we will be getting this phone and if so when. I'll keep you guys updated. But as soon as i see the sku, pricing and all of that info i will update here!!!! I am definately gonna get one one of these, maybe even from another retailer if the shack doesn't get it till later!!!

That's what I was wondering too.

It's not video input...it's video output. Maybe what ubigred was thinking was that the ps3 could be plugged into the phone and be displayed on the phone?

Someone had already posted a website that is selling the cables. It is a mini usb to a/v (RCA).

I think it was listed at $40? Anyhow, I wouldn't be surprised if Sprint will offer it, but probably for much more than what you can buy it for online through a 3rd party (or HTC reseller).

I see, well, this may help. I bought an OEM HTC Mogul car charger from this website:

It's better than what Sprint was offering and it was on sale for 19.99 at the time. The core lights up the HTC logo in blue! I'm just hoping it will work for the Touch Pro also!

Anyhow, when the Touch Pro is released, I wouldn't doubt that they'd carry the video out hookup.

Damn I am starting to get a little nervous too. I usually buy phones two at a time so if this thing costs alot more than the diamond then I don't know what I am going to do. Maybe I can pull off a miracle when calling the retentions department.

I got my mogul last oct I'm just wondering will I be able to get the 2 yr contract deal on the touch pro when it drops or a partial discount? Cause I would really hate to have to pay full price for this phone and seeing as the diamond is 549 outright I'm scared to know what the touch pro will cost!

A very cool feature... But My Axim X50v has had that ability with VGA since 2004. lol

Either way it is very cool and that browser does look like it will be sweet to pair with IE. What I really want to see is that 128mb of ram and that VGA screen. Ill wait a bit but I will get that phone later on.

I don't know for sure, but I believe I read somewhere recently that the Touch Diamond will not have the TV-out capability. This is all pre-release info, though, so take it with a grain of salt...

Thing is, from the video out preview pics that you posted, it looks like there's only pre-set icons that you can click on to view on a monitor. I'm all about all-in-1 type devices, so I'm really hoping it is will be possible to view the NAV. If not, all would not be lost for me, but that is just an added bonus that I'd love to see happen.

And your idea, saumaun...that's exactly where I was going with it also, which is why I was looking into 5-7 inch portable monitors on ebay that had a/v inputs!...LOL. If you got a TV installed into your new car and made sure it had a/v input w/ rca output (to connect to your car stereo), you'd definitely be set! Technically, you could run the NAV (w/ the audio signal going to the car speakers) and view Google Maps / Mapquest or Yahoo Maps directions all at the same time. It would be ALMOST as good as having a portable nav...LOL.
