Thing is, from the video out preview pics that you posted, it looks like there's only pre-set icons that you can click on to view on a monitor. I'm all about all-in-1 type devices, so I'm really hoping it is will be possible to view the NAV. If not, all would not be lost for me, but that is just an added bonus that I'd love to see happen.
And your idea, saumaun...that's exactly where I was going with it also, which is why I was looking into 5-7 inch portable monitors on ebay that had a/v inputs!...LOL. If you got a TV installed into your new car and made sure it had a/v input w/ rca output (to connect to your car stereo), you'd definitely be set! Technically, you could run the NAV (w/ the audio signal going to the car speakers) and view Google Maps / Mapquest or Yahoo Maps directions all at the same time. It would be ALMOST as good as having a portable nav...LOL. |
