HTC Touch Pro Release Date! - Page 110

Alright Ladies and Gentlemen!
I have been waiting for the pro for as long as I have known that it would be here and I hate to say it but the phone has been postponed to come out on 11/02/2008 as oppose to 10/19/2008. Now before you ask I will let you know I have found this out by going to my local sprint store directly (corporate)! I know what you are thinking here goes onther guy that heard it from a rep but wait! Don’t jump to conclusions! Here is what I have learned!

#1. I went in and ask about the diamond and sure enough they had one but the demo none in stock yet (amazing)!
#2. I asked if I could purchase but that was a no go because none in stock.
#3. Then it unfolded the sales rep advised me to wait b/c he has been eagerly waiting for the touch pro and was very informed as far as specs,color,size,ect(I played like I was clueless and let him sale me on the idea)
#4. He then advised me that his Regional Manager and HTC Product mangers came to there store and let them play with the Diamond and Pro!
#5. He then said that they advised him that the pro would be postponed b/c the Diamond is still not available in all markets and was postponed itself so the did the same to pro to smoothen the process.
#6. He advised me he got to play with pro and described, ECT and was told that the Phone would come out on Nov 2, all channels and 29th for telesales!
#7.ONce again he was honest with me and was very knowledgeable and let me play with the diamond while talking
#8 So I believe it’s obvious that it won’t be here the 19th as most stores still don’t even have the diamond!

I am now just going to wait for the 29th to get online/telesales for the pro!

Furthermore, my first impressions of diamond is wow how pretty, small, Gorgeous screen (wow), and the speed was smooth no lag and very nice looking phone!

My suggestion to you is go play with the diamond and get a idea of what coming when the pro comes I am excited and happy to say that I can no wait till the end of month knowing that the pro is coming at end of month!

Disclaimer: He did say the date could change but would not be sooner!

thia make alot of sense to me to. i read about it on buzzabout wireless.com n i also called in and was told NOV2.2008, so by then ill have well enuff the money its gon cost! thankx

yes, ignore all the people saying it's weird for sprint to release phones on a sunday... that's the normal day for them as it means they can take a full day of orders and ship out the following day (monday)...

There are rumors stating that it will be released earlier for ATT. Like on the 26th. I have a contact that told me it will be available on th 29th from telesales for Sprint. But theres other dates going around too.

Good to know, At&t are really keeping it leak proof. I can't find any solid dates anywhere. Im with T-Mobile now but the G1 does not seam to interesting to me. Since my contract is over, im just going to At&t for the Pro. Thanks again for the info.
