Regardless if it is a standard, neither was MMS, and even still not all phones come with that feature. So, I think we will be waiting a long time, and maybe never, will we ever see that become a standard (Video Calling). Considering that BT just became a standard, and now all phones text, and have bluetooth.

Video calling has been a major flop in the US - simply put, we don't really want it. While video phones when they first came out were a bit of a hit in other countries, they have always flopped big time here. When the US is ready for it (if ever), they will start including front facing cameras. I'd be very suprised to see devices in the US with front facing cameras any time in the near future.

Completely agree.. I actually recall when they came out, and there was a little hype around it. It died off quicker than HTC could roll out some plans for new devices with the cameras, when talking with US Carriers... It just wasn't going anywhere, fast.

GSM and CDMA are wireless phone network technologies. GSM devices use a SIM card and CDMA devices don't.

The GSM version of the phone is the UK's T-Mobile version of the HTC Touch Pro.

Actually, there are some CDMA networks that use something like a SIM card.
But the cards are just a "symptom" of the methods used by the network.
For a nice explanation of the difference between them, look here.
GSM=Global System for Mobile communications
CDMA=Code Division Multiple Access

Yep, RUIM cards. Unfortunately I don't think there are any carriers in the US that use them. I believe there are Chinese carriers that do, but that doesn't help me much :)
