Will Android work on the Raphael?

I don't know much about Android but I'm curious to know if it will have enough resources to support Android. Any input, guys?

If android will run on a vogue/touch now, it should run great on a raphael!

Will it run android?

Just wondering, do you think HTC will release a Android version, or if Google will have Android available for it? It should be more than able to run it. I have tried Android on my mogul, it seems cool, but had a long way to go. not to mention that the keyboard didn't work. It is still cool showing my Linux nerd friends my phone booting up linux.

Sorry, I'm a complete newb when it comes to programs, but is Android a program or a phone? From the stuff I've read, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Android the name of the phone that Google is making that's supposedly going to be on T-Mobile first?

Android is an Operating system that boots from linux, thus launching android on your phone, you'll see linux boot up first...

There should be no reason why it won't work on the new upcoming htc phones with more ram and rom... it should be flawless.

Once android is officially out, we can prolly just pop it on and have an android OS, complete and ready to go... its gunna be sweet!

Thanks for clarifying.

According to informed sources cited by the New York Times, T-Mobile USA will be the first network operator to launch a phone running the Android platform. The Times' sources said the phone would be manufactured by HTC, and could be available as early as October. It will feature a touch screen and a sideways slide-out keyboard, which is a design used by HTC on its other smartphones. Google, the company behind Android, and T-Mobile did not comment on the details

Re: Will it run android?

also if i'm not mistaken, i think htc makes the phone for the android OS, so essentially, it will work on any of the htc devices with enough RAM

Re: Will it run android?

android is designed to run off of some very low end specs. The idea is that it will likely be modded to current phones, but also have the ability to work on low end phones (IE: those free phones that come cheap from the service providers) I think that once we are out of the 0.x SDKs and 1.0 is officially released along with the HTC Dream, the Android "flagship" if you will, we will start seeing more solid support for android on current HTC's and future one as well. The possibility of it running as a complete ROM on my mogul has kept me from smashing it into a wall :P
