I rly need some help
alright guys Ive been here for a few days and Ive been reading on how to unlock and mod my sprint htc touch pro with a new ROM, i have downloaded the program for my phone for the unlocking... I connect the phone to the usb and my pc, the phone prompts me for active sync or disk drive so i select AS and on my pc the AS starts, says its connected and the last sync was successful so i figured im connected correctly now when i run the program it gives me a fatal error and asks me to make sure i am sync'd correctly with the pc. So I don't know if its the program or the usb cable... I'm pretty sure it isn't the program because 100s of u used the same one. I am not using an OEM HTC Touch Pro usb/charger cable so maybe that's the problem. if so i have to go buy one. I would appreciate some responses or feedback on this Ive been trying for days. Holy color batman!
First off, please don't post subjects like "I rly need some help" - that's not very descriptive. Something like "Trouble flashing" or "Can't upgrade to new ROM", something that actually describes what the problem actually is. Second, good GOD don't EVER post in multiple colors like that EVER again! It was extremely difficult to read, and probably took you some time to setup... which really confuses me as to why you would do that in the first place. A word of caution make sure it has no physical or water damage or corrosion buildup (Number one problem on a malfunctioning phone). As to why you are doing this..If it works why break it..
If you are getting a sync can you move any data to and from device? if so cable is fine. Are you sure you have the correct ROM? check the one you have already installed. 1) Can you read it with any other programs? 2) Can you get to the SPC and unlock the phone with other programs? 3) Can you transfer any data with sync? If you answered (NO) from Q. 1 and 3 then Houston we have a problem. 4) Did you but phone in "Modem" mode? 5) Did you remove the SDmemory? If still no luck try these other options Replace cable and or open phone and get out your magnifying glass and look for damage.. Or simply reboot and start over.. Know what com port you are on.. |

Thanks to all of u who helped me, mostly arrrghhh. I got it unlocked flashed with mighty rom and themed.
