I have never soft reset after placing files and have never had an issue. He is most likely not editing the right file or he has the right file and is not editing the right thing.

i have always soft reset so i never really paid attention to see if it worked prior.
but i'm thinking with you on this. wrong file or wrong part of the file.

You both are right, i was editing the \Windows\493df861_manila People when i should have been editing the \Windows\1a43e2db_manila manila. When i edited that one it worked great. Thanks Will Badger and Hamagc. I appreciate your help
