Rebooting Problem

Hey all,

I don't think this is related to a particular ROM, but I've noticed that my Sprint Touch Pro will sometimes reboot when closing the sliding keyboard. It seems random. Sometimes closing it is fine, others it isn't.

Anyone happen to know what could be causing this and how I might be able to fix it? It's very annoying!

Thanks everyone!

Something is not right. You might have a problem with the ribbon cable that goes from the front half to the rear half of the phone.

Is this relatively easily repairable or replaceable?

Re: Rebooting Problem

You would have to disassemble the phone to do it so I would not rank it low on the easy to fix scale.

I would check your battery terminals. My phone was rebooting randomly while closing the keyboard. Then it started doing it when sitting the phone down on the counter. I took out the battery and noticed the terminals were bent a bit. Might not be your same issue but worth checking it out!

Re: Rebooting Problem

I 2nd the ribbon cables. If you find they are loose, slap a small piece of electrical tape over them after plugging them in, it will help keep them in place.
