Re: Editing the Remove Programs list
I don't think you can. And if you could, then you would never be able to remove or update the software associated with the links.
Not a good idea!

Re: Editing the Remove Programs list
If you have the cab, you could try to open it with wince cab manager and change it so that the cab in not uninstallable. I think the option is "allow users to uninstall" or something along those lines. I haven't tried, but I would think that it wouldn't show up in the list then.
@mastergadgets, all you would have to do is just delete the files it puts on your phone and any reg. entries manually. It would not cause any problems if you knew what you were doing (and the cab was relatively simple - ie few files/reg entries).

Re: Editing the Remove Programs list
Well i found something that would do what i wanted.
MemMaid or Sktools can open databases and edit the file needed to get these removed. I used the trial of memmaid and use the jump to / Database / Database Usage Scroll down and look for a file called SwMgmtmetadataStore Click and browse it. There you can click on any of the entries that are in the uninstall list and remove them... soft rest and done.. Hope this helps some one. |
