What causes a broken keyboard?

Hey everyone, so this is my 4th TP, and I'm really getting tired of them. A week ago my screen cracked (no lcd leak, just the glass cracking) and then I freaked out. I saw that Sprint was pretty much giving everyone TP2s now and I got really jealous.. lol. Just today, I started seeing signs of my keyboard dying. It would work for a while and then stop, and be sporadic like that. So my question is, is there a way that I can progress the death of the keyboard quicker? This broken screen is really making me nervous and I wanna get rid of this thing as soon as possible. Keep in mind, I'm not breaking this myself.. the keyboard's starting to die.. I just dont want to send it into Sprint and have them go "the keyboard works fine!" I know that the death has something to do with just typing a lot, but I'm not sure. Should I expect it to get worse as I type more and more and press harder?
