Need help! I've searched and read till my eyes are bleeding.

My Alltel now Verizon phone just developed an issue yesterday. When I push the power button on the top to turn off the screen; it wont come back on. If you look real hard around the edges you can see it light up a little but nothing else. If you call it, it will ring and you can answer it. I also still hear when a text comes in, but no screen. If I press the reset button it will come on and work just fine until I either press the power or it turns itself off after a minute. As long as I keep it from going to sleep it is fine. I have already hard reset several times and re-flashed about 3 different ROMs many times trying to clear it or something. Any ideas before I buy a new phone?
