I'm getting the pulsing light after the screen is off, yes, if that's confirmation. Let me see if I can now turn GPS back on with the widget and get location again...

EDIT: Yes, was able to toggle GPS on and off with the power widget and get location with it on and sleep with it off... multiple times.

Kinda makes sense, they just got GPS working. So leaving GPS on prevents deep sleep from happening. I'm sure it'll be an easy code fix. Thanks for finding that hamagc!

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!

So everything was working pretty good with the all in one pack (june 13) from the OP.

Then I decided to try out:
XDANDROID.21.6.10.AOSP.7z
rootfs-20100613-e835833.zip
initrd-20100611-5816d27.gz
htc-msm-linux-20100606_150546-package.tar.bz2

and now I can't get past the "booting linux" screen right after you open haret.exe

going back to June 13 AIO.

EDit:

It's probably because I'm a noob and put all those files in the "andboot" folder instead of root.

Edit2:

Simply copying and replacing the files in andboot with the one from June 13 AIO doesn't fix the freezing at "booting linux". Guess I screwed up my android and need to start fresh.

delete data.img and try again.

if everything is the newest, it sounds like the data.img is still causing issues. the bootloop has been fixed with newest files but if you haven't deleted data.img it can still linger in there.

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro -- Now working on Verizon! And with GPS!

does the phone portion work? are you able to make and receive calls?

for the apk, if it's not set correctly, the apn will disappear. make sure all the settings in the apn are correct per:
Quote:

Sometimes this is caused by incorrect or missing APN settings. When Android boots up, go to Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names. You should see an entry with Name: Android (or CDMA Generic), and APN: internet. If this entry is not active, activate it. If you see nothing, hit menu (the button with the house), create a new APN, and put in the settings Name: Android and APN: internet. Everything else can be left blank/default.
If you are on a network that uses login name and password for #777 dial up networking, and none of this works, you can try the instructions here, which may or may not help (you'll need your correct name and password).
and try again.
