Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800) - PRE-ALPHA (not yet usable)

stellar19, I am using the USCC v1.07.06 radio. I do have the newest energy rom with win6.5 running on my phone. I gather that shouldn't make a difference, but thought I would mention it. And yes data is working as well as wifi. I'm at work right now and don't have a wifi connection but I'm still able to surf etc. I'm also using the call&roidv2 cab and the phone seems to function fully. It does take some time after boot up before it shows 3g is available and I don't get any data until that shows up. Probably takes 3 or 4 minutes.

Everything stays in your SD card main folder. Also check to make sure you are using the modules/zimage/rootfs from this site and not the one that comes with the complete package.

Same radio I'm running. And that's the weird part in my mind. I get the 3g icon to show up. Text messages also work.

I think I have yet to try using data, after starting a call and booting into Android. Tried it last night, but I had wifi on.

One other thing, in your APN settings, what do you have for settings? Did you put the username/password or is it all blank?

Starting data and booting into android shouldn't at this point make any difference. I guess I can't rule it out, but the RIL sends a hangup command to the modem before dialing, so it shouldn't matter.

the touch_calibration lines should show up BEFORE the A N D R O I D, but if you're not calibrated, they're not showing up anywhere, I imagine. I don't know why this is causing so much trouble for people. If someone can tell me how I can better explain it, I'd appreciate it.

Been running the new build for about 6 hours straight, no crash yet :P
Only major thing I've been running into is power management :\
Battery is being drained fast. That and Pandora crashes after a while of use (dunno if this is a lack of memory or a memory leak causing this).
Other than that this build has been very nice and more stable than the others. Have made about 10 calls and sent/received 60 or more texts.
Great work and keep it up!

Also I get an exact gps location in google maps and my tracks, not sure if everyone else is. Just adding.
