The Gen.Y Dualboot is setup to use the folder android on your sdcard. You need to change /sdcard/andboot to /sdcard/android, modify your startup.txt and also set the android boot folder registry key for Gen.Y Dual Boot to 1 I believe to boot from /sdcard/android/

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

The dual boot for me is working really well...now the envy of all my engineering work colleagues. When installing the first time, be patient, it stalls and it appears to lockup a few times but it is actually working fine.

Also, one somewhat odd issue, the screen would dim to a completely unusable level. I would have to reset it to fix it. It would work for 10 minutes or so and then dim again. You need to change the dim settings under Windows Mobile to anything other than auto. It now works great.

My GPS appears to be somewhat functional. It must be using cell phone or wifi info not actual GPS. This puts your position into within a quarter a mile or so.

Another annoyance, many programs are not viewable in Android Market. It appears that the most likely cause is the screen resolution is determined to not be compatible so it is not displayed. This could probably be changed in one of the configuration files.

You can manually download Pandora from:
http://pandora.android.s3.amazonaws.com/pandora.apk
It seems to work great, but you can't find Pandora under the Android Market for example.

I run it all the time! Doubt I'll use a ROM even if one is cooked up. I'd rather just dualboot!
Thanks for the tut mak!

someone else gave you one solution but i had the same problem and it turned out that i was using the diamond version which is different bc on the diamond android is in the internal memory not in the sd card. but if you have the right version you need to use a reg editer and goto

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gen.Y\DualBOOT]

and edit the dword "Androidbootfolder" 0 if haret.exe is in the root and 1 is haret.exe is in \sdcard\android. it wont work anywhere else

If by will it last me a day, you mean will it not crash, then yes, it will not crash.
If you mean will you battery last, well be prepared to not doing anything on it and plug it in after maybe 5 hours.
