ok one issue so far, when i receive a call, the phone doesn't unlock. the screen will turn on and the call will flash for a brief second then return to the locked screen. you have to unlock to answer or ignore the call. not sure if this is new or not lol.

will post more as i find them.

not seeing this problem. wifi turned on just fine and i was able to see some networks around me. i don't have an ap to connect to here at work so i can't test the connection but i am able to see the couple of local locked networks so it's def. working that far on my end.

ok just rebooted and battery is down to 80%. was at about 90 when i started so an hour only seems to have taken about 10% out. not bad, this does look like an improvement!

What I really like is that now the battery usage breakdown works. before since the phone thought it was always charging it would never display battery usage statistics.

Ok...4.25 hrs of usage..and I'm at 50%...not too shabby! Note that I turned off "Background Data" syncing. I've done a good number of txting, syncing my email about once a hr or so, and checking my battery every 30 mins or so :-).

One weird thing I see so far....You know the indicator (circular button's LED) that does the wavy thing when its charging in WM?...its doing it. No notifications or anything either...I made sure by killing everything. This is with it sleeping.... it doesn't do it when the screen is active.

That's the indicator that comes on when the phone is sleeping (no joke) it indicates a lower power usage state.

You gotta love that the low power indicator uses power to let you know lol

I remember on one of my older pocketpcs it would turn off the cell radio when the battery was low but I could still use the rest of it, and I am thinking wait this is a cell phone that is its primary use and your going to turn off my radio before the battery dies so I can do other things.

lol...wow...interesting...maybe by turning this "feature" off we can save extra 10 mins of battery time!

ok, battery is not doing so well now.

i do have push email running for outlook. 3 test text messages, a 5 minute phone call, and minimal playing around.

i am getting the battery is under 13% message now but it is still jumping as high as 50%. battery usage is as follows:

Cell Standby: 74%
Phone Idle: 22%
Display: 5%

i'll report back again once it is completely dead.

also curious, android has ads. do these affect battery life?
