Thanks mapaz those two files fixed it with out destroying my previous stability

I take that back now I can boot again but now I cant get anything from the market to download, but oh well trade offs still better than it was

Let me check on the market... I thought it was working... I believe it is on mine but i have to check... You may have to reboot and try again... it took me once or twice before the downloads actually started.

Try the settings posted from hamac and use that APN... wait for the 3G symbol to come up and try... Im booting into it right now... I will see if it is working with mine or not...

EDIT 1: Im not sure why your market is not working... Mine is working fine... take a look at the attached pix...

Mainly with the Keyboard... that seems to come up a bit... Other than that, if it gets stuck a bit, give it a second, and it should work, dont keep cliking cus it will force close on you...

ALSO: TRY THE PACK MAKK UPDATED AND CHANGE THE SQUSH IN IT. I THINK THAT IS THE SOURCE OF THE CHANGE.

I will try this and post back. My package involves like three different builds man. I cant tell you where I got everything from but I did post the link earlier, even had to get my own MegaUpload account for it since I did not know where to host it...

I will try this: Use all of MAKK's release ( =D> THANKS MAKK, your build is still the most stable, you are the $#!t  ) and add the SQUSH file from the 1.9 release. Give me a bit and I will post back. :headbang:

ALSO, I noticed I am using modules-2.6.27-00966-gf75c7fb.tar if that helps any...

Moving files to the phone now... may have to step out for a bit...if you get results post them, otherwise, I will post back again in a bit, if not...it will be later tonight, but you should have a reply today.

THANKS MAKK... YOU ARE THE REASON I EVEN STARTED TRYING THIS ON MY PHONE!!!

Status update 1: Just built the system with original March 1st release and the SQUSH from 1.9... Im at the splash screen right now. I should know after messing with it for a bit if it will forceclose anything. Also, I want to test it all so I have left the modules as they are on that release, I have not changed anything but the SQUSH

Status update 2: Booted in, this is FREAKING STABLE!!! However, even though I get 3G, I am not able to link my account or anything... Even internet is not working. Will reboot and see if the second boot is what brings anything up... If this does not work my next status will be using the modules I was using earlier... I will let you guys know but I will be stepping away from the computer for a bit so it wont be till laters. Hope this helps everyone...

THANKS MAKK FOR YOUR RELEASE, EVEN AFTER REPLACING THE SQUSH, I HAVE YET TO HAVE A FORCECLOSE WITH YOUR FILES AND THIS NEW SQUSH MAN!!! YOU ROCK

PS: I have not added hamacs settings yet, I need to see if this will work without any tweaks, MMS can come in later.

STATUS 3: I have rebooted twice, NO FORCECLOSES ON THIS!!! but I cannot get Data to work. As stated, it will show the 3G icon but I cannot get it to work, APN settings are there. I will add hamacs settings later so I will move up to the modules and zImage I was using on the last pack and advise if this works. hamacs settings are for MMS so I can leave that for laters. Going out now... Post for ya later...

It used to get ridiculously hot... Just sitting there, supposedly sleeping. It doesn't seem to get too hot for me unless I'm using wifi or using it for a long period of time at once.

It's an ongoing battle they're fighting with power management. I'm sure it'll get better with newer releases, but it may *never* be as good as the native OS for this phone. It could be better in theory, but power management is not something that companies like to talk about, and obviously a lot of power management is software based.

I'll be happy if they get the gauge to be more predictable, but a lot of what the devs are doing is trial-and-error with thousands of lines of code across hundreds if not thousands of files. The full Android source I heard was just shy of 10gb - of text. So what the devs are doing is nothing short of a miracle, and very impressive indeed. So if you do have anything to donate, please give it to them - they are working hard, without expecting anything in return.

I try to change system.sqsh to this.
And it works! Very cool interface! Bluetooth works fine, but Wi-Fi not :( it's possible to make working wifi on this build?

Re: Linux/Android on CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800)

I tried an old build of Android 1.6 from Oktober or so... worked fine on my Touch Pro.
Now I downloaded XDANDROID.01.03.10.7z and RAPH800-XDANDROID-AIO-2010-03-12.7z, both crash while booting:

kernel BUG at kernel/workqueue.c:188!
Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000000
pgd = c0004000

Any idea what this could cause?

It could be your startup txt from what it sounds like.

Thanks for the quick follow up mapaz, I rebooted a few times and the market seems to be working now, every thing else now seems to be ticking like a swiss watch, well except the bt and camera but ill take stability over features any day ;)
