I was irritated the whole time about this, yet Sprint couldn't do a single thing about it. I was at a girl's house and couldn't download the Ziggy Cab to fix it for the mean time, bugged the **** out of me. I still had everything, even though I delete my text messages and call history a lot, but left my Picture Mail alone and still had my pictures up until now. Not so mad about it, but what the... They really screwed up this time. haha
When I called they told me to reset my MSID number, but yet with the same number and still didn't do anything. Then they tried to have me change my time/date to Visiting and set it right, yet nothing. I was laughing so much. LOL

Before now I was actaully just setting my phone to 2016 so it wasn't so annoying. I installed the Ziggy Cab and hopefully it will work for me. They better fix this though, even though it doesn't make sense to me.

Hopefully everyone had a Happy New Year, I sure did.

Edit: The only thing useful they told me was there was an update or whatever for my Sprint Touch Pro, but I don't think I want to even bother with it. HAHA

just got off the phone with sprint. I know they probably have a large support team, but how can all 3 of the people i talked to have no idea that this problem exists? or are they instructed to not say that this is a known issue?

edit: nevermind, i got a call back from the tech saying that he tried to submit a ticket to the next level up, but couldnt because it was a known issue. He also told me it was affecting HTC and LG phones nation wide...so it looks like they atleast acknowledge whats going on now.

Same here on my stock ROM Sprint Touch Pro, wmexperts now has a OTA downloadable cab file fix.

Is there a fix for this that will give the actual time when the text was sent and not when it was rec'd or when you turn on your phone if it was off when you get a text? I know of Ziggy471 fix but wondering if there is an official fix from Sprint/HTC.

i just noticed this today, i got 3 texts from the 1st dated 2016. alls fine now though

txt with the date of 2016 are also happening to me. mine is the sprint stock ROM

If you'd look at post #44 it has the fix and I can even valch for that. Fixes the problem for the mean time.

im having that problem with a stock rom also... and now if someone sends me a txt it doesnt say the time just the date

i wonder if resetting the time to 2016 and changing it back may fix it.......

tried that, all it managed to do was screw up my reminders/calendar that i have sync'd to exchange
