I have two phones: Touch Pro W/ Window Mobile 6.1 CE OS 5.2.19965 Build 19965.1.2.3 (Stock OS)
AND
Touch Pro 2 W/ Windows Mobile 6.5 CE OS 5.2.21887 Build 21887.5.0.86 (Mighty ROM WAR)

Touch Pro exhibits this behavior:
using windows text messaging, in the list of threaded messages (groups) all INCOMING messages display 2016. If I click on the threaded text which displays all messages in that group, each individual INCOMING text shows the correct date.

Touch Pro 2 exhibits this behavior:
using HTC text messaging, in the list of threaded messages (groups) the dates shows correctly, if I select a threaded message and look at each individual message in that group the date for INCOMING is 2016, outgoing is the correct date.

i have a uscc touch pro and the first text that i got this morning also said that is was from 1/1/16. i am currently using the psyki rom with wm 6.5 and sprint radio 1.12.34F, i have no idea what is causing it to do that either.

Yea, I have this problem.

Stock ROM that was just hard reset yesterday after my ringer failed to ring anymore. I don't have much installed. Youtube, Disable Slide to Wakeup, Diamond ATI d3d driver, My Phone, and Q Inbox Extender.

I wonder if this will mess up My Phone.

yea sounds like sprint customer service. they never know wat they are talking about. once i had to ask for the guys supervisor. and then his supervisor. and yet again the next higher up supervisor. n my problems werent even solved.lol

Ditto, TP running MightROM. Found this in my searchings, it seems to be affecting multiple WM Devices on multiple carriers, though it seems that T-Mobile isn't affected for some reason. Hope this is useful to somebody!
