I have the download, but I only just started insurance on this phone, may look too fishy if I call tech support the same day!

i'm going to stick my head in this real quick because this is going to get ugly. i can confirm that the rom on htc's site is garbage and will mess your phone up, i got my tp2 back in october after flashing the tp to it. i don't know about doing it on purpose though....

Didn't work... Just went to the sprint store and they "Fixed" it by hard resetting the phone. I guess I'll go back later saying the issues are still there.

I just called out of interest, the lady said she'd just got off another call with this same problem, then went to talk to her supervisor.
She came back and said she could 'wipe the phone' by sending me a signal, I said I hadn't back up my contacts so it wasn't convenient.
She went to talk to her supervisor again and said all they will do is an 'RTN' (whatever that is) and reset the device.

No-go for me
 

I just called stating that the my phone was freezing a lot and dropping calls (which it is) because of the sprint update. After walking me through wiping clean my phone, I told her it was still functioning sluggish. She ended up just sending me the same ol phone. She said try it out, and if it doesn't work out, they might give me a free upgrade.

I'm assuming RTN is an over the network hard reset code?
Is that going to remove whatever the HTC site download did?

Bah, I'm getting a replacement but it's a Touch Pro. I don't know what kind of magic you did on the phone but it ain't working for me!

I had no offer of replacement hardware, only th the reset.
