I read lots of stuff here but I am still confuse on how to ask for replacement. I have flashed Mighty ROM 6 months back on my TP1 which I got replacement in Last March for my mogul.

Here is I summarized what I should do to get replacement. Please correct me if I am wring in any of steps:

1: First I have to change my MightyROM to new rom from OP listed on first post

2: Find the problem of dropping calls, keyboard, vibration, etc...

3: call 877 809 6696 and report problems

4: Wait for offers from tech support.

Am I missing anything?

I don't know why everyone in here is freaking out about morals. First of all, except for the shell and display, it's the SAME DAMN PHONE. Same tech specs, same processor, same ammount of physical memory, just a neater trim, a few extra pixels, and a second microphone. It's the modern equivalent of getting a new shell for one of those old ghetto nokia phones. And next? This is what we're paying the insurance for. So we can have our phones replaced if something goes wrong.

This is my first post. However, I just followed the steps listed in the first page and installed the new Rom. After, several reset you start to notice all the new defects/errors. I then contacted the Advance Technical support and after insisting that I wasnt going to hard reset my device to erase the new rom installed she offered me a TP2.

It seems hit-or-miss for people... They would NOT upgrade me, but I never mentioned it. All I mentioned were the issues with the new ROM, and that I believe it's related to the upgrade and nothing is physically wrong with the device. I've talked to two reps now, and they both told me to take the device into the store to have it inspected and "repaired". I kept trying to tell them that I don't think there's anything physically wrong, but they kept saying that they could not verify that over the phone...

The other problem I'm having is, how do I recreate these issues? I switched to the ROM and relocked my phone so it's ready to go in and be looked at, but I couldn't recreate the problems described... They keyboard seemed to work fine, and it was a little sluggish but I haven't had any freezes. No dropped calls either, but I haven't used the radio really much at all since flashing...

I am tempted to take it into the store, but if I can't recreate the bugs, I don't think I'll have much ground for justifying a free upgrade...

it worked for me today ! i just got off the phone with support. I tried it about a month ago and they sent me a touch pro , I told themit was freezing and the screen would just go black and not turn back on ( which was true). Today I called the 877 number and told them the batter wasy over heating again and that it would still freeze on occasion. They kept me on hold for about 35 minutes, but thats a small price to pay to hear" would you like to try the touch pro 2?"

dont take it to the store .. if they offer you the touch pro again accept it .. wait a while.. you will have some probles with it .. then call back and tell them you have the same problem...

i just received my tp2 as a replacement for my aging tp. been waiting since late november and after calling CS last friday i got the good news. it has a build date of 01/14/10 so there must be a new supply available.

and for those who say it is not an upgrade for the tp you are sadly mistaken... build quality alone surpasses the tp and is worth all the hassle and wait.

Hrm... I wonder if I did something wrong or my acct is flagged in someway. Oh well, I'll just keep bugging them and see what I can get.
