Best Cooked Rom For Telus Touch Pro?

I'm a rookie on his 3rd freaking refurbished POS Touch Pro and I'm hoping that switching to a cooked ROM now that my warranty has run out is going to help make this phone work.

I've never used a cooked ROM before and am looking for suggestions on what would be the best one for a rookie to try who's on Telus?

My preference in descending order would be stability, speed, programs, looks, extras. Something fast and bare bones with just the basics would be great. Would like to try WinMo 6.5 but not sure if that would hurt the stability issue?

Any suggestions / comments?
