Sim Card Sprint missing with New Phone Replacment
 

I got a new TouchPro2 today that was a replacement for my old touchpro.
The sprint tech gave me the new phone but refused to give me the new box with the contents and I was afraid he was going to leave out something.
Sure enough when I got home open the lift up the battery sure enough no sim card.
Can other people with Sprint and check to see if they have the sim card under the battery.
And just confirm as the instructions and specs so online the sim card should be there.
Also heads up for everyone getting their phones replaced to double check on the sim card.

the sim car is supposed to be there, it was actually already installed on my TP2 when i got it NIB.

go back to the store and have them give you a card

i think for the sprint version, its installed by htc before the phone leaves the factory

Unless the rep took the card out themselves, it wouldnt surprise me if they were dinking with you when they told you its a NIB.

Dial ##778# and click view on your phone. Somewhere to the end of the list, it will tell you if it was refurb'd

##768# will tell you if its refurbished or not, and if so, it will also tell you the refurbished date

not sure if ##778# will tell you that

Go back to the store and get one, if should be free since you were supposed to get one.

they both do. ##786# will just say reversed.

yes. they both do. ##778# gives a lot more than needed.

most people including myself did not get the sim card with the replacement. others who got the box did. from what i read none of the tp2s are refurbed, but you don't get everything unless you are lucky. go back to the store asap to see if they still have the sim, if not then just call sprint and they will send you one

I could see the tech through the window in the back room take the phone out of the box.
##778# says refurbishment status= no and refurbishment date =no date

My replacement didn't come with a sim card. I called technical support and they transferred me to the international department and I spoke to a rep there that said they could order me one for $20. He convinced me that it's kinda pointless as it's more expensive to use that sim card abroad than to buy a local prepaid sim card when u travel. Sprint will rape in long distance fees if you use their card. And of course, you cant use the a card in the US, unless you want to hack your radio and use another carrier's.
