TP2 & TP1 Are The Same Spec Wise, Why Is The TP2 So Much Better?

From what i've noticed and friends noticed the touch pro 2 is way better than the touch pro 1 even tho the specs are basically identical, i think the only thing different is the CPU Chipset that it uses if im not mistaken, but the Touch Flo (or sense ui in some tp2 cases) runs better than the touch flo did on the tp1

what makes the difference between the 2? the tp2 doesnt even lag anywhere near as much as the tp1 did. Does the newer touch flo on the tp2 use less memory or something? im just curious as to why the tp2 performs much better than the tp1

Wirelessly posted (HTC Touch Pro 2: Opera/9.80 (Windows Mobile; WCE; Opera Mobi/WMD-50255; U; en) Presto/2.4.13 Version/10.00)

not another one of these threads. Each HTC Pocket PC is much better than it's predecessor. There are so many posts on this. Whoever says it's the same must be a moron, or doesn't own one.

its the same chipset but its not all about the chipset.what makes a smooth device is everything working well with each other. for example its like running 2 engines. 1 with oil and 1 without. which one will run better.

But there not the same chipset. the pro 2 is MSM7600, pro 1 is MSM7500

I think because they took the touch flo from newer devices and made it work on the TP. So now they don't have to since it is made for the screen size and cause less problems.

wow lol
1. much bigger screen
2. world phone accepts sim cards, no more spending 3 dollars a minutos or having a buy a phone when i travel, just buy a local sim card and am good
3. tilting screen
4. better speakers

what sold me was the screen and the sim card thing

what i miss about my tp is the flash light, it was the brigtest light i seen on a phone
and having the speaker on the side, i hate that the speaker is on the bottom on my new phone i always place it near my bed or the couch and sound is muffle

TP2 has a better, higher quality LCD, and updated drivers.

I never had the TP1 but is the TP2 faster and smoother in comparison if both devices have touchflo/manila turned off (just running plain vanilla winmo6.1? If so then it's got to be the drivers if the hardware is exactly the same.
