If you are looking for 2.1 with the animated weather background, try C_Fay 1.1 Rom. Everything stays the same as stock 2.1 except the theme is nicer and there are a few nice programs cooked in. There are no issues with MMS or anthing either. Landscape also WORKS (no weater animation though) unlike the 2.5 roms. I run this rom and it is rock solid.

Any ROM w/ WM 6.5 running 2.1 should have the animated weather background. If you see the weather on the home screen w/ the time, it will have animation, you just need to use the default background for it to work or use hd walls for your backgrounds.

out of curiousity why cant the newer sense ui with the weather animations on the home screen be simply placed on a standard rom? why is a custom rom needed? theres no way to just edit the manillas or replace the manillas in the windows folder with the new ones or is it something more compex than that? will there ever be a way to just edit the touch flo on a stock rom to the new sense ui?

The Imagio is TF3D 2.0, not Sense, and not 2.1

Yeah, I corrected the first post. It is TF3D 2.0 on the Imagio, but essentially an early version of SenseUI 2.1.

Which is why your slider icons worked on the Imagio Brent, and not on other 6.5 roms.



The custom roms are needed for the weather on Home screen, because that is a whole new UI and it handles the files differently then the previous versions. HTC Sense will only run on WinMo 6.5, so it comes down to some of the OS handlings as well.

What is strange though is I went ahead and copied every MANILA file off of an Imagio and put them onto a stock 6.1 TP2

and it worked !!!!

woah what about landscape mode? where did u copy the manilla files to?

what about landscape mode is it full functional in landscape mode? and what do u do with the current manilla files? u just delete them and then use the imagio's manilla files? would this work with the new sense ui thats on the htc touch pro 2 from us cellular?
