WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
I went to US Cellular today to get my girlfriend a new phone and saw a TP2 there up for sale...yeah its got 6.5 on it. Or is this old news that I somehow missed? How does this carrier get 6.5 before Sprint... lame.
Anyone out there able to rip the ROM from it? http://i47.tinypic.com/zn5sb9.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/243p4dx.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/1ckmo.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/sg1pnn.jpg |

New... ROM Date is 10/16/09... That means they had it in dev for aboiut 2weeks, damn we couldve found a leak somewhere... Nonetheless Im sure HTC will have the download available soon. Oh and its on Radio 2.18.00 USC! |
Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
I can go back and rip it to my memory card if that is possible..
It had a bunch of cool apps, I only got to play with it for a few minutes... long enough to get the pictures. |
Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
oO, Looks good sprint hurry up lol.
|
Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
YEah... Most people know. The drivers used in alot of ROMS are from this exact device. But good find on the pics and everything. Hopefully Sprint will get theirs soon.

Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
whats the hurry, we have 6.5 available already!:headbang::headbang::headbang:
Though an update is always welcome! |
Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
There is no real hurry, just a factory 6.5 would be cool
|
Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
No hurry, but yea Id rather use the factory update then accidentally brick my phone. I tried with The TP not the best experience so yea lol.

Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
I would choose stock over a rom because if something happens and your phone dies with a rom on it and some how they bring it back to life at the store, the warranty is done. I have been wondering why the imagio has 6.5 and we don't.

Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
Legit, Legit.. This way hopefully some of the carrier specific problems on cooked roms will be minimal to non at all.

Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
some one get me a dump of this and ill recreate it in to a flashable NBH out of the raw dump files.

Can I dump it directly from the phone? I'll go back tomorrow. |

ull need to do it via active sync and it takes 20 min have you done this before? i can make you a batch file and a cab you will have to install on it first to security unlock the OS to dump it. |

How about Activesync via bluetooth? It may be a bit suspicious - you checking out the phone for 30 min, but a buddy can be outside with a laptop, and you could sync it via bluetooth. Just an idea, although not a very practical one. :) |
Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
in order for bluetooth sync to work u have to set up via usb first.
|
Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
is anybody else not really interested in the 6.5 update? the changes are mainly graphical and minor. the only thing id be interested in is getting the weather in my clock on the today screen

I emailed HTC to see if they can provide me with the shipped us cellular rom... its worth a shot i guess.
|
Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
6.5 is outdated already, i am using 6.5.1 (23506) with 6.1 drivers for last two weeks, i have not found any problems so far and i have tried going back to 6.5 but i cant stand 6.5 anymore.

Edit - I can also never remember, are changes in 235xx branches ported back to 230xx branch, or vice versa? |
Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
it seems not only 6.5 already in it but also the new htc touchflo. hopefully we will soon see it in HTC site.
|
Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
the weird thing is that the touch pro 2 is not even listed in HTC site for US cellular, check it out http://www.htc.com/us/product/uscellular.html

Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
I overheard the salesman telling a customer that the TP2 was the "top of the line, even over the blackberry" ... It was a good moment. :)

Re: WM 6.5 IS out for CDMA.. proof in here.
