Screen rotation animation

It would be nice to have some sort of screen rotation animation like the one found on the Omnia. That was one of the thing I liked about the phone when I used it. The phone also had 4-way rotation instead and not just 2-way like most slider phones. Who cares about that, but the animations are cool.
All of the fit and finish of the TP2 and they left out rotation animation.
Is anyone thinking of porting this over (even if it's just the normal transition)? Can it be done? It would make the change from P to LS look so much better.
