Yeah, Chinese is pretty useless to our user base as its mostly North American users here and id say minimum 75% are English as a main language. Awesome work tho very cool. i know id like to try it.

Eh, I've tried the english version and all it does is pop up with a box that says "Switching to CDMA1X/EVDO mode..." even though I'm already on CDMA. Kinda useless at that point.

Sorry, I only make the the switch tools to indentify 2 netwroks, China Telecom and China Mobile, so maybe it can not work in your network, I will fix it soon.

Sorry about it, the fixed version will be coming soon...

The title of the subject and program name completely describes its function and purpose:

One key to GSM/CDMA switch...

Re: One Key to GSM/CDMA Switch 1.0.0.2 Update

One thing.. it appears we still have to manually choose which network for the phone to join once it goes into GSM mode. Is it possibe in the program to have an option to specify the network which it joins once changing modes? I have tried adding ATT as the default one and it still won't autojoin the network.

Works with verizon/tmobile networks. I also have to change modem choice even when set to auto. Thanks.

The network you will join should depends your sim card, why did you still manual select? I can not understand it, could you clarify?

I did not include the "Global" mode into this tools, it is just for C/G switching.
Maybe I will add the network setting in the next verison.

Hi. I wasn't using global either, just confirming data works after changing modem selection. It seems like the modem choice should follow the C/G switching, but autopick for me still requires choosing a modem in the data settings. Thanks.

Re: One Key to GSM/CDMA Switch 1.0.0.2 Update

just for clarification, the purpose of this program is to be able to keep an activated sim card from say, att in the phone and switch between which account/network the phone is actually running off of easily, right? or is it to actually force the phone to run off a gsm/3g network even thought its activated on a cdma network? Thanks in advance for the clarification.

This app makes it easier to switches between the CDMA or GSM side of the TP2. It does not make the phone run both CDMA & GSM simultaneously. No app, hack, or ROM, etc... will ever make that happen on the TP2.

ok, so in other words, you would have to have a gsm sim card that is tied to an active account installed in the phone to utilize this app.

Re: One Key to GSM/CDMA Switch 1.0.0.2 Update

It's working now. However, when I switch from CDMA to GSM, it makes the switch but doesn't auto register me to AT&T, even though I have an active SIM card installed. I have to still go and change network mode to Manual and choose AT&T there.

Same here, it's like HTC did it this way on purpose.

This problem does not occur on the Verizon version. I believe this is related to the World Unlocked radio.

Just curious, is this "manual" setting for gsm phone or data? I have vzn/tmo and it finds tmo for phone, but requires modem change for data. I use the Auto setting, but select TMO and bring it to top of list. Thanks again.

You could choose AT&T as prefer network in GSM network setting.

Press it, the network will be switched to another (If you are current under CDMA mode, it will be switched to GSM after pressed).

And press it again, it will switch back. That is all.

Actually, I believe another user posted correctly when they said it may be related to the world unlocked radio. It appears Verizon users can have their phone automatically join preferred or specified GSM networks, whereas Sprint users, even though a network (in my case ATT) is specified as prefered, it will not automatically join the network after switching to GSM mode. This is the same whether using the switching utility or not.

Would it be possible to expand on this really cool utility specifically for Sprint users so that the program also tells the phone to join a certain network?

Thank you for the application either way!

If so, it should consider MNC and MCC for other GSM networks and force it to change the prefered one. Let me think how to implement it, :)

Re: One Key to GSM/CDMA Switch 1.0.0.2 Update

hi there guys. i've got a couple of questions that i've been askin all over this forum and i think this is the closest thing to what i'm trying to ask. i have the sprint tp2 on cdma and i have it unlocked and am using both sprint and tmobile in it. i havnt downloaded this software to use it yet but i sure will now that i found it. my question is, from what i'm reading here this version doesn't automatically register on tmo or att you have to still click the button to tell it to go to tmo. is there a newer version coming out soon or is this something we will have to wait a while for. and second thing is, the phone will automatically apply tmo inernet and mms setting and you cant usually change the settings on mms when it does that. knowing that much and knowing that tmobile just switched server for mms, is there anyway we can make that change of server apply as well automatically every time we press this button. " i just thaught i would put it out there in case there is some new version coming out" it would be great for us sprint tmo customers to have some thing like that.
thank you in advance.

Johnny
