Wirelessly posted (HTC Touch Pro 2: Opera/9.80 (Windows Mobile; WCE; Opera Mobi/WMD-50369; U; en) Presto/2.4.13 Version/10.00)

I think Sprint has a different power button than Verizon. Verizon has Power/End Call button, and a separate screen backlight button (up top).

activesync does not connect to phone while it's in bootloader. You just connect the usb cable and the computer will recognize a usb device, then you open the romupdateutility

Re: how to put tp2 into bootloader mode

HTC TP2 from South Africa (3 months old)
The ROM (1.87.421.0) is from called "RUU_TouchPro2.exe" release on 11 Jan 2010 at http://www.htc.com/mea-en/supportdow...act=sd&cat=all.
The update was fine, a wanted to change the "Short Date Format" in Regional Settings to "dd/mm/yyyy". It was not listed and on the forum they shared that we can do so "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=597002" "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\nls\overrides\SSDte"
Hope this helps - thank you in advance

just do a hard reset

Re: how to put tp2 into bootloader mode

Already did it a couple of times by pressing the stylus in small hole.
The TP2 keeps on restarting like if no WM6.5 exists.
It also does not turn off, I then remove battery, wait 30s and put it back.
Auto turn on and restarts

that only does a soft reset. need to try a hard reset.

Re: how to put tp2 into bootloader mode

Solved...Thank you very much...
The trick is to keep the buttons pressed until the prompt appears for 'hard reset'
I wonder why 2x International Companies will not add by default "dd/mm/yyyy" or
the option it customized it from inside their product.
Hopefully the competition will learn them a lesson.
Your support is much appreciated.
