Re: Check Signal Strenght on Verizon TP2

I just put a different ROM on and it worked using the ##33284# (no send/talk)...I guess it was the ROM that was blocking it. Thanks.

The extra # at the end is for Sprint phones. So whatever you have loaded up it's probably provisioned for Sprint.

So how do you check it on a phone that is provisioned for Verizon?

Are you getting a data connection? Can you send and receive MMS messages? Which rom did you load?

Re: Check Signal Strenght on Verizon TP2

The ROM that I was not able to pull up the fieldtest screen on was the Merdins ROM. I recently installed the Calkulin's ROM, but as you stated, it is provisioned for Sprint. I have not made any adjustments to the new ROM yet, I just tried to pull up the fieldtest screen and was successful. I now know why it worked on this one from your post.

Merdin might not include field trial/test

I already told you it was working on mine by dialing ##33284 no extra # at the end!

And i also told you that it was a carrier specific cab that needed to be added, ie provisioning.

Before you abandon the rom you should ask the chef to help you provision for Verizon. Last resort you colud try to Frankenstein it yourself and install Mightys Verizon provisioning/carrier cab. It only adds registry settings for the keyboard, MMS, EPST data (what your looking for), and connection sharing.

Here's an excerpt;
<parm name="Prog3" value="EPST.exe ##775" datatype="string" />
<parm name="Key3" value="#775" datatype="string" />
<parm name="Prog4" value="EPST.exe #4357" datatype="string" />
<parm name="Key4" value="4357" datatype="string" />
<parm name="Prog5" value="FieldTrial.exe" datatype="string" />
<parm name="Key5" value="#33284" datatype="string" />
<parmname="Prog6"value="DMRouter.exe /OPEN_MODEM_PORT"datatype="string" />
<parm name="Key6" value="#3424" datatype="string" />
<parm name="Prog7" value="EPSTLab.exe ##7738" datatype="string" />

See anything in there that may address your problem?

And again, there is no link for it because its now included in his rom but if you ask he may provide it for you to try. It's named MightyROMVerizon_103009.cab

So Ill ask again, could someone help me analyzing values displayed by FieldTrial results.

Thanks
