Re: Sprint MMS setup for Juicy R3 with HTC messaging
My biggest problem with this whole mod is that, the messages that are viewed in the native windows messagining app are not threaded. The are all single text messages. I have yet to find a way to make them threaded.

Re: Sprint MMS setup for Juicy R3 with HTC messaging
It asks you right after it tells you sim card detected, if you don't do anything it goes away. I think there is a way to install it after the rom is installed. You have to search Juicy's thread for that.

Re: Sprint MMS setup for Juicy R3 with HTC messaging
We need to figure out how Manila 2.1 handles SMS/MMS and implement it in 2.5. In 2.1 the HTC messaging works with the native WM messaging tab. When you tap the message in touch flo it takes you to the windows app. It just works better in my opinion.
Maybe someone with a deeper knowledge of registry editing can take a look at 2.1's registry so we can make the same changes in 2.5 |

Re: Sprint MMS setup for Juicy R3 with HTC messaging
i cant even do step 1. Installation unsuccessful because it does not have sufficient system permissions.
i tried the arcsoft cab i already have as well as downloaded the one from this thread twice. No luck |

Re: Sprint MMS setup for Juicy R3 with HTC messaging
I am sorry 2 hear so many people are having so many issues with MMS / Juicy's R3 rom.
These are the steps I took right after the Juicy R2 SPB Backup and flash to R3. Hopefully this helps out someone with a similar set up. Pre Flash: Set up XDA_UC w/ all necessary cabs. (Note: I am using OrigDefaultWMtexting4Manila.cab to keep my original screens) Post Flash: Choose Sprint Carrier.> Device Restarts > Clear Storage > Start > Click Customize > After it loads all CABS, Scroll to Messaging Tab > All Messages > Press menu, scroll down to Pics/Video settings > Go to cdma servers tab open the existing server > Name the server whatever you like. (Sprint) > leave gateway blank >port number is 80 > server address: http://mms.sprintpcs.com/servlets/mms > connect via: Sprint > Press done. Tested from one Sprint phone to another. incoming & outgoing (speed varies)
