Cooking: NBHUtil has stopped working [error]
Hi guys, well I have been looking around but haven't found any relevant information but here goes, hopefully I don't get yelled at again... lol http://www.sskusers.net/support/imag...ies/tongue.gif
I have been trying to cook my own ROM (for days now) using the kitchen, I have gotten my OEMs together and the kitchen goes through all the motions until it launches the NGHUtil app and then it just stops and I get a windows error that says "NBHUtil has stopped working". Any ideas? I am using Windows 7 32Bit on my laptop. Thanks in advance. |
Re: Cooking: NBHUtil has stopped working [error]
nbhutil doesn't work right on my windows7 x64 so it might not work on x86 either... also, make sure you have .net framework 2.0 installed

Arrrgh!!! Well that's not a good thing... Figures. So there is no fix or workaround for this I presume?

have you tried installing the .net framework? |
Re: Cooking: NBHUtil has stopped working [error]
.net framework is already a part of Windows 7, at least that was the message I got when I tried to install it. That it was already a part of the original Windows installation...

Re: Cooking: NBHUtil has stopped working [error]
does it work if you just run the nbhutil.exe? if so, it might be an issue with the kitchen you're using
|
Re: Cooking: NBHUtil has stopped working [error]
Yes actually it does run if I run the .exe file for nbhutil, seems ok. Hum, the kitchen you say.
I also did it with a stock rom and tried to recreate it without changing anything and nbhutil stopped the kitchen/cooking when it was launched as well. |
Re: Cooking: NBHUtil has stopped working [error]
if the kitchen actually builds the .nb files, just manually select rhodiumw and insert the files to build the nbh (if you're comfortable doing so)

Re: Cooking: NBHUtil has stopped working [error]
if you're just flashing the OS, then only one (if you were including a custom splash, etc, there'd be more than one)
anyhoo, just use the "target device" dropdown and select "rhodiumw", then the "..." next to the OS box. open your .nb file there and then push "Build NBH!" |
