looking for talking app

my brother is legally blind, but still have part of his eye sight. he has the touch pro 2, and he is able to use it by memorizing the keys on the keypad. while at the sprint store the other day, there was a guy in there that was partially blind like my brother. He had a touch pro 2, and he had a talking app on it that spoke for him. I forgot to ask him what the app was. Does anyone on here know what this app is? or what kind of talking app my brother could use on his phone? I could't find this in a search.... I would appreciate any help I can get on this issue. thanks

Re: looking for talking app

That might have actually been the voice control app thats built in to the phone. I had that enabled once & it would read out loud texts & whatnot, and I think you can set it to announce everything too.

look for Voice Command in the setting tabs on your phone. it has the ability to tell you who is calling ans also speaks incoming text messages.

There's TellMe that was just pulled off another phone, where you can speak into the phone and it can convert it to a text, etc. I've tried it but it doesn't seem to like my voice too much. There's a thread on it here somewhere. See if this helps him out http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...ghlight=tellme

MS Voice Command is probably your best bet...

Here is a link to Microsoft that list the features:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...-features.mspx

Here is a link to download the app:

Hope this helps!!!

Re: looking for talking app

Did you unrar the file first? Unzip the file and it should extract a cab that you can then load.

Re: looking for talking app

i del unzip and installed unrar. works better but says program setting can not be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions. WTF?
