EDIT: Never mind. I thought you said you will give HEX edit a go; but you were talking about the txt file. That txt file I think gets generated when you click on the device information for the first time. I don't think changing it there will actually do anything.

Its a no go on all that!

I'll just let the master of the rom fix this one, he is looking into it.

Well, I think your trying to do things the hard way.
We are talking about the Touch Pro 2...right ??

I have the Sprint stock ROM, that may be one factor.

To check the existing PRL
Start>Settings>System>Device Information>Version
The PRL is listed. Mine is 60656
To Update the PRL
Start>Settings>Update PRL (I have an icon to update the PRL)

There are two other icons, one to Update Firmware, and another to Update Profile.

Maybe Sprint is the only one providing these icons?

yes, if your running stock rom you do have those icons. I'm running Mighty Rom and we don't have the icons. The problem here is that the cab posted is not working on his rom and I was searching for a fix.

I'm using JUICY's rom and was able to update the PRL..i just clicked on the update PRL icon.... i double checked using ##778# and verified PRL 60656 is installed......

How were you able to get Juicy rom uploaded on to your TP2? I was thought you need to be running winmo 6.5. Are you using the att tp2? If you are on sprint, can you PM the details on how you got that sweet rom running on your device.
