Internet sharing with the new mighty rom?

Is there something that needs to be done? i.e a cab or something else?

It keeps giving me a error 67 wrong username and password when i try to do internet sharing...
however my phone is connecting to the internet with no problems via iexplorer or opera?

Internet sharing over wireless works fine for me in mightyrom. If you do a soft reset of your phone i bet that it wont be able to connect to sprint data any longer without having to first flash back to the sprint stock rom and update the profile/PRL. A lot of us had the issue with the Error 67 message yesterday and apparently sprint decided to update some things.

Ah, so if i try a soft reset and it doesnt work, i need to relock the phone, flash back to stock, then update the prl / profile under the system settings, and then flash again? lol

After a soft reset, my data connection is still working, so it looks like its a ICS problem

Very strange... so it only happens when you try to connect the computer??? Since you already have an active data connection this doesn't make much sense to me. How are you trying to share your connection, through the newer wireless ics or through usb? I want to see if i can reproduce the issue.

Right now my phone isnt connected to data, i disabled data via the comm manager. I tried two ways, first i plugged in the usb and tried selecting internet sharing from the auto popup on the phone... hit connect... it disconnects and connects a few times(which is normal).. then i get a error 67.

I also tried connecting to the internet via opera first, then opening up ICS manually, hitting connect, then plugging in my phone, still no go

Try this.

Connect the phone, and you will get a pop up screen w/ 3 choices right?

They are Sync, Storage, Phone as modem.

Pick Storage here.

Then on your phone, goto Start/Internet/Internet sharing(click this one).

It should work for ya. Atleast it does for me on Mikes rom.

Okay, i see what your getting... i have only been using Mobile Wi-Fi Router that comes with mighty rom. I am having the same error while trying to go through the built in windows ics. I will see what i can find out.

Yep, that does work as a workaround for now

. I forgot my storage card at home and instead used the Sync option instead of Storage and it worked fine also.

I did ask Mike to fix this (assuming I wasn't alone), but I didn't hear back or my request just gets burried in his thread lol.

Oh and I'm not sure if it matters, but the registry for the forcecellconnetion was Phone as modem instead of Sprint like the tutorials I've seen so I just changed that AFTER I disabled CM guardian just for the hell of it.
